Summary

With the COVID-19 pandemic getting more and more serious, known drugs are being heavily tested aiming to find a safe and effective treatment. Some of these drugs have granted and/ or pending patents in many jurisdictions.  While some countries have a clear IP Law establishing the steps of a compulsory licensing, others are now seeking mechanisms to clarify and streamline the process, to be used if necessary.  Please join us as we discuss these issues in Colombia, Brazil, and Canada.
